A weekend in two parts

You know what today is, right? The official Halloween-celebrating kick-off or, in other words, October 1st. And that means the weekend found us immersed in all things Halloween-y, beginning with meeting the Margarita Girls at the best pumpkin patch around. Getting lost in the corn maze that wasn’t open yet …

… but lucky we found our way out and later learned that we’d saved $25 in the process. Apparently the corn maze opens next week and the charge is $5 per person for the pleasure of tromping through corn stalks and getting up close and personal with crawly and winged things. We were quite pleased with ourselves.

And then there was pizza, pale ale (for the grown-ups) and tattoos (the temporary kid kind) to round out the day.
